I have not blogged a photo in a while, so here you go. I have been posting some old photos on Flickr lately. I guess I am getting bored with the photos I am taking right now. I have been feeling that way for a while.
Looking at old photos is strange. The first thing that stands out to me is how I could have taken a better picture. I could have framed it better or composed it better. I think I am a better photographer now, just because I have looked at so many photos. It makes me want to go retake all these old photos. That is not something I can always do.
I made a hand full of resolutions in 2007. I have been successful for most of them. One I just finished was blogging 150 photos. I think that blogging photos makes my blog more interesting and it makes me think about photography. Both of those things are good things.
If you want to see all the photos I have blogged this year they are in one place, you can look at my set on Flickr. They are in roughly the order I blogged them. I think it is cool to just look at that set.
I have decided to cancel the picture of the day feature. I decided that it was taking up too much bandwidth and too much disk space. It does not seem like it is that much right now, but I projected over the next couple of months. I could quickly see myself using up all my space. I will still include pictures, but just every once in a while.
Here is the closing picture. I love the Adobe building. It is one of the coolest sites in the San Jose skyline. I want to go up the the top floor of this building before I leave San Jose.
I went to see Spider-Man yesterday. I cannot remember the last time I stood in line for an hour to get into a movie. The line was long. There must have been three hundred people in this line in front of me and another hundred behind me.
There is one feature of this picture that I really love. I love the palm trees. From time to time I see a grove of pine trees and it reminds me that I live in California. I never planned to live here. It was not one of my goals. I am not sure that I even like it that much. With all that, is still surprises me.
Those moments of surprise are happening less often now. It only happens once every couple of months. When those moments of surprise no longer happen, I will be a true Californian. I wonder if I will be there that long.
This picture was taken while driving in San Jose. I have no idea how I achieved this effect. I do feel the whole world looks like this some times. More often it happens when I am on the streets of San Jose.
Since I got my new toy, I have been taking a lot of pictures. Many, many, many of the pictures are not worth looking at. I love taking pictures, but I am really bad at it. I usually cannot stand still long enough to take a picture. With my spycam, I at least have an excuse why the pictures are so bad.
Richard Bullwinkle, the man pictured above, told he me did not think this was a camera. He thinks I am just stealing people's souls. I am not sure what I would do with a soul like his.
