Photography and cops

All Star Game: Water Cops

I hate stories where cops tell people that photography is a crime. I really hate stories where cops threaten someone with Jail time if they do not turn over their camera. Stomping on a memory card because the person took a photo of you on your cell phone is being a bully.

I have been reading the photography is not a crime blog a lot lately. There is a lot in play here when it comes to cops and photography. I know that cops are worried that a photograph does not tell the whole story about what is going on. That does not give cops the right to trample over people because they are taking a photo.

I need to take more photos of police officers. I need to stand up for my rights. I think that every photographer needs to stand up like this.

Barry at the plate

Barry at the plate
Originally uploaded by earthdog.
It does not surprise me that Barry Bonds has plead not guilty to charges of lying to the grand jury. My guess is that he is betting the leaks in the case will be his way out of this. I cannot see him back down. It is not who Barry Bonds is. He is a guy who is confident and does not care about what others think. That is part of what made him a great player. I wonder where it will take him in the legal realm.

Will Barry Bonds do any jail time? That is what I am wondering.

Just Because they do not put a fence up

It does not mean it is not trust passing. Man Arrested for theft of service because he was using a cafe's wifi from outside the cafe. He was not buying anything from the cafe and still using their service. Alexander Eric Smith was a moron because the cops told him to knock it off and he kept on doing it.

Alexander Eric Smith, I thought the media only referred to serial killers by three names. I guess the news is not what it used to be.
