Writing Away

National Novel Writing Month is coming. It is only a few weeks away. I know I will be very busy this November, but I am still excited to try it again this year. It is always a challenge, but a different challenge from the year before. I do not think I will finish this year, but it will still be worth it.

If you enjoy writing at all you should try National Novel Writing Month. It is something you will never forget.

San Jose Puzzle Solved

For months now people have asked me about those big circles on the top of the newest Adobe tower. I have been asked if I know what they mean. I thought they were just some kind of public art. The are public art, but they are also a signal device. Two guys figured out the message that the art has been sending.

I am happy I was not the guys that figured this out. I would have been cheesed off, the same way I was when I finished reading the Crying of Lot 49 back in 1996. My reaction to that novel when I was finished was, "really, I just spent a week reading a novel and that is the ending I got." I guess I am just not a Thomas Pynchon fan. I have like see his appernces on the Simpsons.

Thin

I want to push myself until I start to spread myself thin. It has been a long time since I have asked a lot from myself outside of work. I have not been challenging myself in my hobbies for too long. I have to find the time to do all these things. I think it is a good thing for me.
