Friday Five

Friday Five

1. Where were you born? Abington, PA, but I never lived there. I grew up in Warminster, PA. Both townships are suburbs of Philadelphia.

2. If you still live there, where would you rather move to? If you don't live there, do you want to move back? Why or why not? I on longer live near Warminster. I would think about moving back to Philadelphia, but I do not think I am ready yet. I would love to be closer to my family. There are things about Philadelphia that I still love. I am not sure I am ready to move back yet.

3. Where in the world do you feel the safest? I think I provide most of my own treats to my safety. I think I feel safe most places I go.

4. Do you feel you are well-traveled? I feel well traveled inside the US and poorly traveled outside. I have done all my traveling here. I keep on telling myself that I have to go overseas.

5. Where is the most interesting place you've been? Mt. St. Helens, Washington. It is unlike any other place in the world. It is a place of such beauty. You know that it was created by such force. I like that feeling.

Tuesday Too

Tuesday Too

1.) What do you find most troubling about your way of life?
The lack of effort I put into many day to day things like cooking and cleaning. I am also worried about how well I can waste time.

2.) What is your prescription (non psychotropic), or outlet for dealing with stress and anxiety?
Alone time, asking people for advice, and laughing at myself. A combination of these three help with most stressful situations. If you add in this a tad of apathy, you can handle anything.

3.) What's the real reason you get up every morning?
Because the world will not come to me. I am not sure staying in bed will make it any better.

Friday Five

Friday Five

1. ...sent a handwritten letter? From time to time I will handwrite a letter to my father. It has been a while since I have done that.

2. ...baked something from scratch or made something by hand? I am not the baking type and I am not a crafty person. In college I made an electronics kit by hand. It did not work very well. I have to go back that far.

3. ...camped in a tent? Fall 1991...We went camping because we could underage drink there.

4. ...volunteered your time to church, school, or community? I cannot remember.

5. ...helped a stranger? I bought a woman I did not know Easter dinner. The same week I bought lunch for a woman who had lost her wallet.

Friday Five

1. How often do you do laundry?
It is usually two loads, one day a week.

2. What's in a typical wash load?
One load of Whites (undies and socks) and a load of Color (everything else).

3. Front or top loader? Powder or liquid detergent?
Top Load, coin-op washer. Liquid Tide does the trick for me.

We have a top loading machine right now (maybe someday when we're stinking rich we'll have a front loading one) and use store brand powder detergent.

4. Do you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle?
No, it is a result of apartment living. If I had my own washer and dryer I would think about it.

5. Dryer or clothesline?
Dryer for Whites and towels, Drying Rack for everything else.

3. Favorite search engine? google.

4. When did you first get online? 1995. I sold a collection of Magic the Gathering cards to buy a computer. Before that I had to beg my friends to let me online.
