Tired

I am really tired right now and I want to do nothing but sleep now. I feel like my body is going to give out any second. I did a lot this week. I went to a baseball game, dinner in Scot's valley, went to Great America, and had a friend come visit. I know all of these things are fun things, but they can take a lot out of you. On top of these things I have had to go to work early a couple days this week because of meetings. All of this has added up to me being really tired right now.

Now that the weekend is here, I want to do nothing but sleep. I know lots of people think that is a fine way to spend a weekend, but I won't get anything done if I just sleep. I never know which is the right choice. Sometimes I feel that I am sleeping away too many of my weekends.

Sad Salvation Book Exchange

I love to read, but I really do not have the space in my life to keep books. I have never been the type of person to read a book over and over again. When I moved I found a few books that I have finished, but want to get rid of. I just do not want to take them to a used book store. I want to feel a connection with the person who gets my books. This is why I am starting the Sad Salvation Book Exchange.

Girlfriend In A Coma - Douglas Coupland Elke
Nudist On the Night Shift - Po Bronson
The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky Tom
You Gotta Have Wa - Robert Whiting Fling93

The idea is that if you want any of the books above you will give me a book back in exchange. Ideally you would give me a book that you think that I would like. Leave me a comment if you are interested in exchaging books.

SUVs v. Cars or More for Jenna

It looks like there is a widening safety difference between cars and SUVs. I am not a fan of SUVs. I think they are a symbol of the worst excesses of American society. I want to encourage all of my friends to stay away from them. It looks like I have some more ammo.

Real gets a bite of the iPod

I wonder if Steve Jobs and Crew are taking the right angle on this. I know that they are trying to protect their iPod and iTunes business by not letting protected files from other music services run on iPod. I wonder if they are setting themself up for backlash when companies find other ways around the iPod resriction. My instinct tells me that Apple could make even more money by embrasing these services. Only time will tell if this is correct.

Buy a AAA map and drive around the world

In my cube today, I was watching a TV show about Prague. Every time I see a show about that city I want to leave here and visit there again. Part of me thinks that I should really look into finding a job there. There are lots of American companies setting up there because it is smack dab in the middle of the country. I know I do not have the kind of guts it takes to do something like that.

I have to not watch many travel shows. I currently do not have the money to do any world traveling. Watching travel shows just makes me a little depress. These shows just add to the list of places I want to visit. I guess I will need to change what my TiVo is recording.

What's Your Slogan?

I was driving into the bank the other day when I saw a Diebold service truck leaving. I noticed the logo on the side of the truck.

The slogan "We Won't Rest" seemed a little funny to me with all of the electronic voting controversy. It seems like I am not the only person who has noticed the slogan.
